Brain-As-A-Service (BAAS)

Brain-As-A-Service (BAAS) delivers an organization's shared intelligence layer as a service. Flashy Mind, in design, is the reference implementation.

Brain-As-A-Service (BAAS) is the model of delivering an organization's intelligence layer — its accumulated knowledge, context, and reasoning capacity — as a service that both humans and agents draw on. Where Agent-As-A-Service supplies workers, BAAS supplies the shared brain those workers think with.

The problem it addresses is fragmentation. In most organizations, knowledge lives in scattered documents, individual heads, and per-tool silos, so every agent and every new hire starts nearly from zero. A BAAS layer centralises that intelligence and serves it on demand, so context compounds instead of evaporating.

Flashy's reference implementation is Flashy Mind, currently in design at flashyos.com/mind. Its status is stated plainly — a design-stage property, not a shipped product — intended to define how a BAAS layer plugs into FlashyOS and the AAO model.

Common questions

How does BAAS differ from AAAS?

AAAS delivers agents that perform work; BAAS delivers the shared intelligence layer — knowledge, context, reasoning — that agents and humans both draw on. One is the workforce, the other is the brain behind it.

Is Flashy Mind available today?

No — Flashy Mind is in design, at flashyos.com/mind. It is the reference for how Brain-As-A-Service will work within FlashyOS, not a shipped product.
