What is Predict-For-Gold?
Predict-For-Gold is the forecasting verb of the For-Gold economy: accurate predictions about defined outcomes earn Flashy Gold rewards, without requiring participants to stake capital. That last clause is the verb's most attractive feature and its most obvious vulnerability, so this article deals with the vulnerability first.
The farming objection
Stakeless forecasting has a known failure mode. The participant still risks something real — the time and consistency it takes to build standing, and the standing itself with every forecast. The stake has been moved from capital to reputation, which democratizes entry without abandoning discipline.

The reason to defend stakelessness at all is what it preserves.
